Michelin Guide 2023: Hong Kong Restaurants Awarded Michelin Stars

The Michelin Guide 2023 has finally been announced! Read on for the newly awarded and promoted Hong Kong restaurants to receive stars in this 15th edition.

The wait is over! After much anticipation, the 2023 Michelin Guide Hong Kong & Macau stars and recommendations have finally been announced. This 15th edition sees 14 newly starred restaurants, including one new Three Stars, three new Two Stars, nine new One Stars and one new Michelin Green Star. Three Michelin Stars: Promoted Hong Kong Restaurants

Ta Vie stole the spotlight this year having been newly promoted to three Michelin stars. With this new addition, the Michelin Guide 2023 Hong Kong & Macau recommends 10  restaurants (seven in Hong Kong and three in Macau) that deliver “exceptional cuisine, worth a special journey”.

All of the Hong Kong restaurants that were awarded three stars last year have maintained the distinction for 2023.

Two Michelin Stars: New & Promoted Hong Kong Restaurants

A total of 18 restaurants were awarded two Michelin stars in the 2023 edition of the Michelin Guide Hong Kong & Macau. Bo Innovation and Lai Ching Heen are newly awarded and Rùn was promoted from one Michelin star to two Michelin stars this year.

One Michelin Star: New & Promoted Hong Kong Restaurants

Six Hong Kong restaurants were newly awarded one Michelin star in this year’s selection, and three other restaurants were promoted within the selection.

Michelin Green Star

The Michelin Green Star spotlights establishments that have made remarkable waves in the industry for their sustainable practices and outstanding eco-friendly commitments.

Two Hong Kong restaurants – namely two-Michelin-starred Amber and one-Michelin-starred Roganic – have been awarded the Michelin Green Star in previous years, and Mora joins them as this year’s newest Green Star.
