Plant-based dining in Hong Kong has come a long way in the past few years, with many of the city’s top restaurants offering vegetarian or vegan menus in addition to their normal offerings. Here are a few of our favourites worth checking out:

  • Qi: House Of Sichuan – With an entire Impossible menu and plenty of veggie options, this Michelin-starred spicy spot has something to please everyone. www.qi-sichuan.hk
  • Beef & Liberty‘s Leaves & Liberty – Despite the name, this burger joint has great vegan options via its plant-based sister brand, Leaves & Liberty. Swap any of the burgers for the Impossible burger, a vegan bun and vegan cheese, as well as tucking into veggie starters, salads and more. www.beef-liberty.com/leaves-liberty/
  • Madame Fù – From its beautiful pink-themed interiors to the balcony seating and free-flow dim sum feasts, there’s a lot to love about Madame Fù. And to top it off, there’s a dedicated veggie menu to boot! www.madamefu.com.hk
  • Classified – Your friendly neighbourhood cafe has joined the plant-based revolution with aplomb. In addition to its regular offering, Classified has a separate vegetarian menu with dishes like OmniPork Quesadilla, Beyond Sausage Pizzette, Nachos and more. www.classifiedfood.com
  • The Drunken Pot – With its base of meaty broths, hotpot may not typically be your cuisine of choice if you’re trying to eat veggie. However, at The Drunken Pot, plant-based options like rich mushrooms and truffles may just prove to be a game-changer. Load up on homemade bean curd rolls, veggie dumplings and tofu for the full experience. www.facebook.com/thedrunkenpothk
