With the return of DiningCity’s Hong Kong Restaurant Week, we’re ready to indulge our inner foodies with unbeatable deals at over 250 of the city’s top-rated dining destinations.

For the uninitiated, the premise is deliciously simple. Running until Sunday, 27 August, you can enjoy specially crafted menus from some of Hong Kong’s most esteemed restaurants, for a fraction of the typical price! With lunch sets starting from $148 and dinner from $298, this is your chance to discover new culinary favourites, including fine dining venues, Michelin-starred eateries, five-star hotel restaurants and more.

Are you hungry yet? Bookings open today at 10am, and as much as we wish we could sample all the menus, we know we’ve only got room for so much food. So to help you narrow down the choices, we’re offering our top three picks from the Restaurant Week Summer 2023 lineup.

Heimat – Elite Signature Dinner, $780

This Elite Signature Dinner tasting menu takes you on a culinary journey through veteran Chef Find’s “heimat” or hometown and fond childhood memories. Handled with a modern touch, expect traditional dishes that have been elevated and refined to match his vision of what German cuisine should look like in the 21st century.

Menu highlights: Enjoy an appetiser of Victoria Island Geräucherter Lachs (smoked fish) or Hummer and Frankfurter Grüne Soße (lobster with German green sauce) for an additional $88, followed by Frühlings Kräutersuppe (a spring garden herb soup). Then, choose from Sankt Petersfisch (John Dory) or Zwiebelrostbraten (prime beef sirloin) for your main, ending with a dessert of Schwarzwälder Kirsch (Black Forest cake).

Chutney – Lunch Set, $198

A three-course lunch at Chutney for under $200? Yes, please! Serving up all our faves from Keema Pav (spiced mutton mince with buttered bread rolls) to Old Deli Butter Chicken and Chutney’s Signature Dal, how could we resist?

Menu highlights: Choose from a selection of starters, including Chicken Tikka Salad, Keema Pav and more. Mains that follow include Achari Beef Short Rib, Old Deli Butter Chicken, Chutney Signature Dal, to be served with rice or naan. Round off your meal with a mix tandoor platter for an additional $318 if you so please, then finish with the sweet of the day.

Amber – Amber Discovery Experience, $1,498

Indulge in a French fine-dining feast at the Landmark Mandarin Oriental’s Amber this summer. The restaurant’s Discovery Tasting Menu comes at a discounted price for lunch and dinner, which includes four courses plus a glass of Champagne. There’s also a fully vegetarian menu available for diners looking to forgo meat.

Menu highlights: Between the many choices we’d go for the Heirloom Tomatoes with Soymilk Burrata for our starter, followed by the Toothfish for our main and the decadent dessert featuring Elsanta Strawberry, Hibiscus, Egg White and Pink Peppercorn.
